Lucjan Mianowski
Born in Strzemieszyce in 1933. Graduated from the Academy of
Fine Arts in Krakow in 1956. He was granted the French Government
Scholarship and studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des
Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1959. He is a professor at the National
Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznan. He has had numerous individual
exhibits and participated in many group presentations in Poland
and abroad. He was awarded several prizes (e.g. at the International
Print Triennial in Krakow, 1997). His works are included in private
and public collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New
York, Museum of Modern Art in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Congress Library
in Washington, DC. He practices painting and graphic arts, mostly
lithograph.
He lives in Krakow.
